Brian Sturm has been sharing world folklore with children and adults for over 20 years as a teacher, a librarian, and a professional storyteller. He is growing a literacy outreach project called Story Squad that brings the imagination and enchantment of folktales to libraries, hospitals, schools, senior centers, and other community organizations because reading begins with hearing, and he would welcome any help you can offer in spreading the word about this endeavor. Dr. Brian Sturm fills his days as Associate Professor at the UNC School of Information and Library Science, where he also teaches the art of Storytelling.

Ken Grant was raised in Louisiana and he enjoys bringing native flavor to his stories. Now living in Wake Forest, Ken is a Management Consultant and Career Coach. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, he served nearly 21 years in service to our country, which gives him rich fields for his new careers as a Public Speaker and Storyteller. Ken entered the storytelling arena at a Boldface Liar's Showdown, and told a whopper. Ken appears frequently on our Front Porch with stories rich in lessons for life and laughter and a flavor of Louisiana.

Judith Valerie tells stories from the travels and challenges of her fascinating life. Growing up in England, visiting ashrams in India, or exploring the Sinai Desert, her tales are full of vivid details, mesmerizing movement, and told in her charming British-American accent. Judith's performances transport the listener to a world of mystery, tenderness, and surprises. A yoga teacher for thirty years, she shares her journey with great humour. You can laugh and cry, maybe at the same time.
