Brenda Gilbert
Brenda Gilbert is a retired educator and has told stories to thousands of Scotland County Students over 27 years of teaching. She has been a storyteller for over thirty years and is currently the board chair of the Storytelling Arts Center of the Southeast, and co-founder of the annual Storytelling Festival of Carolina and the Bold-Faced Liars' Showdown. Brenda leads the Story Spinners Guild in Laurinburg, NC. The guild's purpose is to promote the art of storytelling by giving its members a nurturing environment in which to practice and grow their skills. Much of Brenda's time is spent volunteering for various community organizations.


Claire Ramsey
Claire Vera Ramsey has always loved telling stories. In childhood, Claire would draw her stories on recycled paper. Through storytelling as a children's librarian, Claire began her new career: Stories With Claire. The president ex officio of the North Carolina Storytelling Guild and co-founder of North Wake Storytellers, Claire believes storytelling help people value one another.



This is a Family Event but no child care is provided, children should not be disruptive.
Admission is one smile per person.
